Mama Becca Women Cup 2016:
8th & 9th April 2016 – Old Kampala Secondary School, Kampala
To avoid undue disruptions due to Uganda Cranes’ engagements in the AFCON 2017 qualifiers, Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has pushed ahead the Mama Becca women football tournament to the 8th and 9th April 2016.
FUFA Spokesperson, Ahmed Hussein confirmed the postponement on Wednesday during the weekly press conference.
After we held the Mama Becca qualifiers (for the primary schools in eight districts), we were supposed to have the main tournament this coming weekend.
But, because of the busy schedule that involves Uganda Cranes double header against Burkina Faso away and at Namboole on the 29th March 2016, we have pushed the Mama Becca cup to give it all the due attention and respect Mama Becca Kazibwe, an ardent of football fan and women football in particular deserves.
