Gafford won 3-0 away from home at Kakira as the Eastern Heroes team picked a narrow 1-0 win at Alluluyah F.C in Soroti.

Back at Kawempe, Hasfa Nassuna and her mother Annet Nakimbugwe were in touch on phone a few hours before Kawempe Muslim Secondary and Buikwe She Red Stars clashed today in the FUFA Women Elite League.

Both Nassuna and Nakimbugwe were the centre of attraction in both the first and second round fixtures between their teams. Nassuna a senior five student at Kawempe Muslim secondary school was fouled for the penalty her team won in the first round as Kawempe edged Buikwe She Red Stars 1-0 in Buikwe. That penalty was converted by the league’s leading scorer Sandra Nabweteme.

The second round fixture was played today (Sunday) at Kawempe Muslim secondary sports ground. The home team raced into an early lead with a well taken penalty into the right top corner by Nassuna. She was on target again with a beautiful chip to hand her team a 2-0lead before interval, a score that remained unchanged at full time.
