WOMEN SOCCER: FIFA coaching course closes on Friday

The course that was officially opened on Monday by FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo will come to an end on Friday at the FUFA Technical centre, Njeru.

FUFA technical director Asuman Lubowa is happy with the progress so far.
“The course is moving on well and even instructor, Jacquiline Chipanga is happy with the participants’ response” said Asuman Lubowa.

The fully FIFA/FUFA sponsored course has attracted 27 coaches is the first of its kind since the FUFA Women Elite League was introduced with a purpose of participants transferring the acquired knowledge to the players in order to improve the quality of the league.

Lubowa who is also happy with FUFA’s progress says he sees a bright future in the next 5-10 years if such courses are often put in place.

“I am happy that the FUFA President’s manifesto is being implemented and we are seeing that ‘Project Cameroon 2019’ is being put into consideration and coaching education is one of the programs to achieve that goal” added Lubowa.

Meanwhile, this is the third FIFA Women Football coaching course in Uganda after earlier courses in 2011 and 2013 at Namboole and Lugogo respectively.

FIFA Instructor Nambian Jacqueline Chipanga is handling the coaches.
