Uganda U20 Women Team (Queen Cranes)

The Queen Cranes in the Uganda U20 Women’s National Team managed by FUFA. It came into existence in September 2013 and eliminated South Sudan 22-0 on aggregate but unfortunately, the Federation executive decided to pull out the team from the qualifiers due to inadequate funds.
Uganda won the first leg 9-0 away in Juba before finishing the job at home with a 13-0 victory. Rita Kivumbi, Hasifah Nassuna, and Sandra Nabweteme scored a hat trick each while Dorothy Nakato, Sylvia Nakazibwe, Jeninah Awadifo, and Naome Nagadya netted the other goals.
After 6 years the Federation decided to restructure women football youth teams hence registering the U20 Women Team in 2020 FIFA U20 Women World Cup qualifier.
Majority of the players were promoted from the U17 National Team. However, they were eliminated at the Preliminary round by rivals Tanzania 4-2 on aggregate.
