YOUTH FOOTBALL : Airtel U-17 National finals draws held at FUFA House

In Fort Portal (Boma, Buhinga and St Leo’s Kyegobe grounds)
The draws for the 4th edition of the Airtel Rising Stars season 4 U-17 girls and boys football finals have been held today at the FUFA House in Mengo.
The national finals for the 8 FUFA regions are set to be hosted in Fort Portal District by the Kitara region.
Last year’s girls champions Western have been pitted in group A alongside West Nile, Kampala and Buganda.

The girls’ group B has Kitara, Eastern, Northern and North East.
In the boys’ category hosts Kitara are lined alongside West Nile, North East and Northern.
The Boys’ group B has defending Champions Kampala, Buganda, Eastern and Western regions in what looks like group of Death.
The draw was supervised by head of FUFA competitions Director Ali Mwebe as FUFA Vice President Darius Mugoye, Dr Benard Ogwel, FUFA Technical Director Asuman Lubowa, Executive Committee Member Rasul Aliga and Airtel representative Birungi Freda witnessed the function. Former Cranes player Phillip Obwin and Baza Holdings coach Frank Anyau who are football scouts in the ARS project also attended.
The finals will be held on the 30th June 2014 at Buhinga Stadium.
The excelling 18 boys and girls will be selected to represent Uganda at the Africa finals in Gabon come August 2014.
