Wednesday, 11th March 2015 is yet again another historic day in the history of Uganda’s football.
Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has launched the National U- 17 league at the main head quarters, Mengo in Kampala.
The launch has been announced by the FUFA President, Engineer Moses Magogo before a packed press conference of sports journalists from different media houses.

In line with our development strategy, FUFA is committed towards the growth of youth football and this is done by patience. Our Cameroon 2019 campaign will be fruitful once the respective youth structures are properly put in place.
The league shall thus be called the FUFA Juniors league.
We have given priority to each of the 16 Premier League sides to organise their respective junior teams
The FUFA President added.
FUFA Competitions Manager, Ali Mwebe clarified about the format of play that will constitute 16 teams divided into 2 groups of 8 teams each.
If teams they fail to confirm by 25th March 2015, then the chance will be given to FUFA Big league teams’ Eng.Magogo
The FUFA President used the same platform to appreciate the media towards their endless effort of supporting women and beach soccer as well as the other brands of the beautiful game in the country.
I commend the media towards their effort of reporting about football especially the FUFA Women Elite League. We have also seen remarkable coverage of the beach soccer activities especially The Uganda Sand Cranes.
The Uganda Sand Cranes are preparing for the CAF championship qualifier against Ghana that will take place at Sports Beach, Entebbe on Sunday, 15th March 2015.
