FUFA Vice President Hon. Nakiwala hails URA FC over new Secretariat offices

Uganda Premier League giants and four-time league champions URA Football Club on Thursday launched a new club secretariat at their new offices in Nakawa.

The event took place at their head offices in Nakawa and was graced by the FUFA third Vice President and Hon. Minister  of State for Youth and Children affairs Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi who represented the FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo

The development came in accordance with the FUFA Clubs Pro Agenda for the better performance of the club.

While addressing the media, Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi lauded the tax collectors for standardising the club’s set-up.

‘Five months ago, FUFA embarked on the FUFA Club Pro Agenda with the view of standardising the progression of the club. I am glad to announce that all the 16 teams went through the Pro Agenda training and I am happy to know that URA was one of the best during the training’

‘Most outstanding was to ensure that it gets an office, the purpose is to see that the office is utilised for the proper accountability for all financial constraints. Football is a five man’s team and i would wish to re-echo from FUFA that we are so proud of URA FC’

At the same event, the club Chairman James Kizza extended his sincere appreciation to FUFA and President Eng. Moses Magogo for the guidance in the club’s setup.

‘I would like to extend our appreciation to the Federation Of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) and President Eng. Moses Magogo for the guidance in setting up a football club secretariat at URA FC.  It is through your tireless efforts to build capacity through football human resource that this goal has been achieved’
