Goalkeeper Brian Bwete saved two penalties and netted the decisive kick to hand URA  FC their  second trophy in three season  of the tournament played on a knock out basis.

URA won 4-2 on of kicks after a 2-2 draw against FUFA Super League champions KCC FC who were chasing their first double in the club’s history.

William Wadri opened the scoring for KCC FC on 29 minutes but URA responded Seven minutes later with well taken Simeon Masaba free kick.  Feni Ali got URA’s  second in the 39th minute.

Second half substitute Derrick Nsibambi who came on for left fullback Habib Kavuma netted KCC’s second on the evening at Mbale Municipal stadium.

In the spot kicks,  Bwete expertly saved kicks by Kiwanuka Gadafi and Ronnie Kiseka. Tom Masiko and Herman Wasswa netted their kicks.

Normal time ended 2-2 and the game went straight to penalties as per the tournament’s rules for this season.

URA will  now represent Uganda in next year’s CAF confederations cup.
