Ugandan FA President Lawrence Mulindwa has this Friday reshuffled his executive committee naming an ex-international player and proline FC director Mujib Kasule as one his Vice Presidents.
Kasule will be charged with coordinating Uganda Super League day-to-day operations on behalf of the federation among other activities as they will be assigned to him by the president. His appointment brings the number of Vice Presidents to seven, one position up from the previous executive committee.
In the same changes recorded in a two-page statement read out to the press by the FA official spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa at the federation headquarters in Mengo, youthful soccer administrator and Kampala regional chairperson, Moses Magogo becomes Vice President in charge of administration. Magogo replaces former Bunya South Member of Parliament Hon. Jowali Kyeyago. In what looked to be the biggest surprise in these changes, Juma Hamid replaces Magogo as new chairperson for Kampala region.
Magoola Isa formerly serving as chairman for FUFA Zone 10 (Busoga Region) gets elevated to the position of Vice President in charge of Competitions replacing Col. Bell Jackson Tushabe. The senior army officer has for the last two years been sick and out of office. Bbosa Amin becomes new chairperson for this zone. From zone 1, Peter Okwi has also been replaced by Malaka Ibrahim.
In his statement, the FA president Lawrence Mulindwa commended the services provided by the outgoing Executive members adding, “It should be noted that the changes hereby made in the executive do not mean that the members redeployed or reshuffled have not performed but it’s just a routine administrative check up with a view of improving efficiency and maximizing on our skills”
Article 27 (vii) empowers the Federation President to make such appointments and reshuffles in his executive or standing committees. The rest of the Executive members retained their positions.
